The entertainment for your wedding recpetion will make or break your wedding reception. Lessen the odds of failure by laying out your wedding reception floor plan in such a way as to benefit the entertainment portion of the day. With many halls the placement of the DJ or band and dance floor (if it is modular) is a seconday thought . Many times when setup is complete the DJ or band is in a corner, far away from the dance floor with tables and people sitting between her/his/their equipment. This can greatly inconvienance your guests by blairing music in their ears, requiring the entertainer(s) to play music at higher than otherwise needed levels to get the sound to the dancers on the dance floor. Overly loud music and speakers set up right next to tables and chairs at receptions is one of the most common complaints guests have about the entertainment, avoid this by carefully considering exactly where you place your entertainer and the dance floor at your reception. Michiana Weddings sat down with several local Disc Jockeys and asked for their input on where their equipment should be set up, to best serve you and your guests.
